PR folks: If you have a list of items that don't belong in press kits, add "alarm clock" to it, or just remember, don't send promotional packages with alarm clocks in them. They can be mistaken for bombs.
It's hard to tell whether this is more terrifying or embarrassing, but thanks in part to forgetfulness and a lack of organization it took TSA screeners at New York's La Guardia Airport six hours to call in a bomb squad to deal with some suspected pipe bombs.
Tuesday's excitement at Zuccotti Park was supposed to come in the afternoon, with David Crosby and Graham Nash scheduled to play a concert, but they may not make it into the park as police and firefighters have reportedly barricaded the area after a bomb scare.
