Helen Gurley Brown has died at the age of 90. Before she started her Cosmopolitan magazine there was her bestselling book, Sex and the Single Girl. Published in 1962, it sold 2 million copies in 3 weeks.

Former 'Cosmo' Editor Donates $30 Million to Stanford and Columbia

In some exciting news (for media geeks), former Cosmopolitan editor Helen Gurley Brown announced she is giving $30 million to Columbia's journalism school and Stanford's engineering school so they can set up a joint "institute for media innovation."
