News Corp. Considered Using Its Editors as Lobbyists

Email messages released Tuesday indicate that News Corp. executives at least considered dispatching top editors of The Wall Street Journal Europe and The Times of London, both News Corp. holdings, to advocate the BSkyB deal.

Times of London Editor is Very Sorry About Hacking a Cop's Email

The editor of the London Times is very, very sorry about one of his reporters hacking a detective's email; in fact, a lot of people took turns apologizing on Tuesday at the UK Leveson inquiry into media ethics.

Hacking Probe Moves on to Murdoch's Most Prestigious UK Paper

Until today it looked like The Times of London, the most august of News International's stable of newspapers in Britain, was too dignified to be tainted by the hacking probes plaguing its tabloid cousins, but that may change with a tweet.
